If you have specific features, finishes, or details you’d like to have in your home, buying new construction could be a good idea. When you buy a resale home, you typically get what you get and it’s up to you to upgrade or redo once you’ve purchased the home. With new construction homes, you’re often given customization options for additional features, finishes, or even rooms.

You Find Energy Efficiency Important

Even homes not classified as “green” or “energy efficient” are built to higher standards of energy efficiency than older homes. Modern construction materials, like insulation, windows, and lighting, help increase the efficiency of a home.
