The Greater Erie Board of Realtors® (GEBOR) recently announced the appointment of Stacey Santos as board president for 2016. GEBOR, a division of the Pennsylvania Association of Realtors® (PAR), is a REALTOR® trade/professional association that provides community outreach and legislative advocacy to its members.
Santos previously served as director of GEBOR and currently volunteers with the GEBOR entertainment committee. She has been a REALTOR® with Marsha Marsh Real Estate Services for more than six years and is a consistent multi-million dollar producer in the Erie region. Santos holds the designation of Seller Representative Specialist (SRS) and has extensive training and expertise in new construction, marketing properties, and business strategy.
Santos is very active in the Erie community, where she volunteers her time with the Realtor Community Service Committee, which helps charities such as Habitat for Humanity and The Maleno Family to Family Fund.
As GEBOR president, Santos will regularly attend PAR meetings in Harrisburg. These meetings offer free educational seminars that provide representatives with the latest legislative and legal updates for the real estate industry. Former GEBOR president Mary Huffman noted, “Without these meetings, local REALTORS® would have no idea what goes on at the state and national level. Though the PAR meetings I was able to communicate the latest information to the rest of the GEBOR membership. Huffman added that she continues to be amazed at the amount of time and effort REALTORS® dedicate to protecting the property rights of their clients. “It makes me proud to be a REALTOR®.”
As newly appointed president, Santos has big plans for her year in office. She hopes to expand community outreach and to provide more extensive tools and networking opportunities to the more than 100 GEBOR members.

“GEBOR has a tremendous effect on the Erie community and serves as a catalyst for the local economy. The real estate industry keeps Erie thriving,” stated Santos. “This position is very important to me as I attribute my success as a REALTOR ® to my ongoing involvement with GEBOR,” she continued. “They provide the knowledge and insight that real estate agents need to succeed in this business. I hope that I can exceed the expectations as president and leave a good impression on my fellow REALTORS®. It is an honor to serve as their 2016 board president.”
